The Mississippi RiverKings (9-3-0) used a three-goal third period to win their fourth straight home game and in the process end the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs (4-6-1) four-game win streak. Chad Woollard and Ryan Held each had a pair of goals for the RiverKIngs and Sebastien Centomo stopped 28 shots earning the victory improving his record to 6-2-0.
The win ended the Mudbugs shutout streak which was three straight games, tied for the CHL record with the 2001-02 Tulsa Oilers and the 2002-03 Odessa Jackalopes. The Bossier-Shreveport CHL record scoreless minute streak came to an end in the second period and will finish at 218:57.
