OAKLEY CENTRAL HOCKEY LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE WEEK ANNOUNCED
The Central Hockey League announced today that the recipient for the Oakley CHL Player of the Week for the period ending February 24th, 2008 is defenseman Vladimir Hartinger of the New Mexico Scorpions.
Vladimir Hartinger's Bio
Hartinger jumped to the top of the heap among defensemen with his 10-point week. The Rio Rancho, New Mexico resident scored five goals with five assists in the three games versus Arizona this past week. The Scorpions took two out of three against the Southwest Division leaders and now find themselves just two points out of the division’s top spot. Hartinger started the week with a hat trick (the first of his career) and an assist along with a plus 4 rating in the Scorps 6-4 win at Arizona. The four-point night also moved him into the franchises’ top spot among defensemen passing Eric Ricard. He followed that up with two goals and four assists in the weekend’s games at Prescott Valley that had New Mexico spilt the two contests. For the season, Hartinger leads all defensemen with 50 points (17-33=50) and ranks second with his 17 goals and first with 10 power play goals.
In recognition of his achievement, Hartinger will receive a special gift from Oakley.
