Chris Robertson's Bio
Robertson led the league during the month with 16 goals and tied for the CHL lead with 27 points. He also compiled a league-best +17 plus/minus rating, had five power play goals and two shorthanded goals. New Mexico posted a 9-4-0 record during the month of February positioning them in the thick of the race for the Southwest Division title. The Owen Sound, Ontario native came just two points shy of matching his combined total of 29 points (11-18=29) for November, December and January. On the season, Robertson leads the Scorpions with 29 goals, a +18 rating and is second with 59 points (Konrad Reeder, 85 points).
The Scorpions are just two points away from clinching a playoff berth and Robertson has been a key ingredient to that success. New Mexico has turned around a .500 start by going 21-12-3 since December 1st and are currently 29-20-5, four points out of first place in the Southwest Division.
Other players receiving consideration for the monthly award for February include Amarillo’s Bill Vandermeer and David Nimmo, Arizona’s Alex Leavitt and Chris Bartolone, Austin’s Brendan Cook, Bossier-Shreveport’s Brett Smith, Colorado’s Riley Nelson and Ed McGrane, Laredo’s Jeff Bes, New Mexico’s Konrad Reeder and Vladimir Hartinger, Rocky Mountain’s Daymen Rycroft, and Tulsa’s Jeff Christian and Warren McCutcheon.
