Texas/Bossier-Shreveport Game Three Box Score
North Richland Hills, TX – The Texas Brahmas are one win away from completing the improbable and knocking the two-time defending Governors’ Cup champion Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs out of the playoffs. On Friday, the Brahmas took a 3-0 lead in the series with a 3-2 win at the NYTEX Sports Centre. Texas can close the series on Saturday night at home.
Anders Strome gave the Brahmas a 2-0 lead with goals in the first and second period. Despite getting outshot 30-14 in the first 40 minutes, the Brahmas held the lead and were able to use the lead to hold on and gain the victory. Jordan Cameron scored the other Texas goal.
The Mudbugs outshot the Brahmas 41-21 in the game as David Cacciola was outstanding for the third straight game making 39 saves. The Mudbugs started Ken Carroll for the first time in the series and he stopped 18 shots taking the loss.
The Bugs goals were scored by Joe Ori (shorthanded) and Tyrel Lucas. Bossier-Shreveport squandered 13 power play chances in the game proving to be the difference. The Brahmas finished the game 2 for 7 with the man advantage.
