OAKLEY CENTRAL HOCKEY LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE WEEK ANNOUNCED
Wichita’s Jason Duda Earns Weekly Award
The Central Hockey League announced today that the recipient for the Oakley CHL Player of the Week for the period ending November 2nd, 2008 is forward Jason Duda of the Wichita Thunder.
Duda, playing in his 13th consecutive season with the Thunder, scored three goals with an assist last week notching at least a point in all three Wichita games. The Sexsmith, Alberta native has the Thunder at 3-5-0 sitting two points behind Rapid City for second place in the Northwest Division. In Friday’s 3-1 victory versus Rocky Mountain, Duda collected his 500th assist with the Thunder. He then scored a goal in Saturday’s game and two goals in Sunday’s contest versus Rapid City. The veteran is among the top five in most CHL offensive categories ranking third in games played (690), fourth in points (827), third in goals (321) and fourth in assists (506).
In recognition of his achievement, Duda will receive a special gift from Oakley.
