PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. – The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League announced Wednesday that they have added defenseman Tyler Scott to their lineup. In addition, the Sundogs have waived forward Andre Selander.
A former ninth round pick (268th overall) of the New York Islanders in 1999, Scott opened the 2008-09 season with the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL prior to joining the Sundogs. In 32 games this season with Bakersfield, the 28-year-old recorded two goals, six assists and 18 penalty minutes (PIM).
The fifth-year pro has spent parts of four seasons in the ECHL, first skating with the Dayton Bombers in 2004-05. Scott’s best season came in 2006-07 when while with the Condors. In 66 games, the 6-foot, 200-pound defenseman tallied career-highs in goals (13), assists (18), points (31) and PIMs (68).
