Jackalopes Complete a Pair of Trades
“Future Considerations” Fulfill Trades from Last Season
(Odessa, TX) – The Odessa Jackalopes completed a pair of trades today that were made earlier this past Central Hockey League season for “future considerations” acquiring goaltender Scott Reid from Rocky Mountain and defenseman JR Bria from Bossier-Shreveport.
The acquisition of Reid completes the Jackalopes trade of Chris Brannen to Rocky Mountain before the season began. Last season, Reid appeared in 37 games for the Rage going 18-14-4 with a 3.63 goals against average and a .892 save percentage. This past season was Reid’s eighth in pro hockey. He’s been a member of the Rocky Mountain Rage for the past two years, but has also played for New Mexico, Corpus Christi, San Angelo, and San Antonio in the CHL over his career. Reid played two seasons at the AHL level with Milwaukee, Peoria, and Norfolk from 2005 to 2007.
On November 5th of this season forward Mark Johnson, was traded to the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs for future considerations. The Mudbugs completed the trade by sending Odessa the rights to defenseman JR Bria. Bria played in 62 games this season for Bossier-Shreveport scoring two goals and 14 assists for 16 points. He also finished the year with a +15 rating.
