Mike Beausoleil Returns To Oilers
There will be a bit of a reunion this year on the Tulsa Oilers.
The Oilers have signed right winger Michel Beausoleil for the 2009-10 Central hockey league season. The move brings the Oilers second leading scorer from last season back to Tulsa and reunites him with coach Bruce Ramsay. Beausoliel played for Ramsay with the Port Huron Beacons of the then United Hockey League (now known as the International Hockey League).
“He’s the kind of coach where everyone will play to win. If that’s not working he’ll make whatever changes he needs to,” Beausoleil said. “He wants to get the team back to the playoffs and go from there.”
The 5-foot-10 205 pounder has scored at least 35 goals in a season four times in his career. Last year for the Oilers he reached the 200 goal plateau for his career with his second goal of the season. He ended the season with 19 goals, and 42 assists with 61 points and 96 penalty minutes in 63 games.
