Kevin Ulanski had a goal and three assists and Riley Nelson scored twice as the Eagles extended their point streak going 2-0-1 on the young season. Mike Mole stopped 27 shots earning his first win with the Eagles. Ryan Tobler, Ryan McLeod and Adam Hogg also scored for Colorado.

at the CenturyTel Center
Charlie Effinger stopped 34 shots keeping the expansion Americans perfect on the young season. Jordie Benn and Nathan O’Nabigon scored power play goals giving Allen the only offense they would need. Joe Blaznek scored the only goal for the Mudbugs.

at the Amarillo Civic Center
Jeff Pierce notched a hat trick as the Jackalopes handed the Gorillas their first loss of the season. Paul Kelly scored a pair of goals in the win and Jake Morissette scored two goals for Amarillo in the loss. The Jacks are 9 for their last 16 on the PP going 4 for 9 in Friday’s win.

at the DeSoto Civic Center
Louis Dumont scored the shootout game winner for the RiverKings who never trailed in the game. Goals from Kevin Jarman and Cam Severson were answered by the Brahmas with goals from A.J. Gale and Grant Jacobsen. Ray Jean earned the win stopping 30 shots and three of four shooters in the shootout.

at the Kansas Coliseum
The Thunder earned their first win of the season thanks to three point nights from both Marc Belanger (1-2=3) and Jim Jorgensen (1-2=3). Scott Campbell earned the win making 25 saves allowing just a Marty Standish third period shorthanded goal. Jason Duda had a goal and an assist moving to third place on the CHL’s all-time point list (876 points).

The IceRays earned their first win of the year while handing the Bucks their first loss of the season. First period power play goals from Jeff Alcombrack and Ryan Bennett helped guide the home team Rays to the win. Kris Tebbs stopped 31 shots in the victory.

at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center
The Sundogs scored four goals in a 2:33 stretch and a franchise record three goals in a 56 second spell of the second period. Jason Visser scored two of the goals and Steve Potvin and Torren Delforte each added one building a 4-2 lead after two periods en route to the win. Les Reaney had two goals in the loss.
