Rush Takes Two of Three from Eagles
Colt King and the Rapid City Rush handed the Colorado Eagles their second consecutive home loss and finished with two wins in the week-long three games series with a 3-2 win at the Budweiser Events Center on Saturday night in front of a sellout crowd.
King finished the game with two goals including the game winner scored in the second half of the third period. Brendon Hodge’s first period power play goal served as the Rush’s other goal.
Rapid City scored twice in the first five minutes of the opening period and held two separate two-goal leads. Ed McGrane and Riley Nelson scored goal for the Eagles bringing them to a 2-1 deficit and the eventual final score of 3-2.
Miguel Beaudry earned the win making 34 saves and Mike Mole suffered the loss stopping 21 of 24 shots.
The Rush won two of the three games this week versus Colorado and evened up the season series at two wins apiece.
