The Allen Americans (13-4-1) received the other two first place votes and finished second in the poll moving up two notches. Despite tying for the top spot in the Northern Conference, the Colorado Eagles (12-3-1) dropped from #2 to #3.
For no apparent reason, the Laredo Bucks (9-4-3) took the biggest fall in this week’s poll dropping from third place to seventh despite going 6-3-1 in their last 10 games, while the biggest jump this week goes to the Rapid City Rush (10-6-1) who climbed from eighth place to fifth. The only team to drop out of the top ten from the previous poll was the Amarillo Gorillas (7-10-3), who in turn allowed a spot for the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs (9-8-0).
The CHL Top 10 Coaches Poll will be released on or near the beginning and middle of each month throughout the regular season. Each first place vote receives ten points, second place votes earn nine points, etc.
