Bossier-Shreveport Wins Close One with Wichita
The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs stayed hot on Thursday night earning at least a point for the ninth time in their last 11 games in a close 2-1 victory over the Wichita Thunder at the CenturyTel Center.
Tyrel Lucas scored both goals for the Mudbugs with the game winner coming midway through the final period with his club on the power play.
John DeCaro made30 saves improving to 11-8-1 with the win and despite falling to 0-6 Wichita goaltender Ian Keserich was again sharp turning aside 28 of 30 shots.
The loss for Wichita is their 22nd in a row breaking the CHL’s single season record for consecutive losses.
The win for the ‘Bugs is their 20th of the season and moves them to within five points of the second place Colorado Eagles in the North.
