Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs Head Coach Scott Muscutt has been selected by the Shreveport-Bossier Convention & Tourist Bureau to receive the 2004 "Outstanding Outstanding Community Awareness" P.R.I.D.E. Award. Muscutt will be honored at the annual P.R.I.D.E Awards luncheon on Wednesday, May 12th from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Isle of Capri Casino & Hotel in Bossier City.
In his seven years with the Mudbugs, as a player and coach, Scott Muscutt has made continuous contributions to the Shreveport-Bossier community in many different ways. During each of the first three seasons of the franchise, Muscutt was awarded the Mudbugs Community Excellence Award and had the award named in his honor after his retirement. He was also a co-winner of the 2000 Western Professional Hockey League's Man of the Year Award for his outstanding community involvement. This season was no exception as he routinely visited local schools and continued to devote his time to helping others throughout our area.
Each year, the Shreveport-Bossier Convention & Tourist Bureau honors the exceptional service provided by many dedicated individuals throughout the community at the P.R.I.D.E (Proud Residents Involved in Developing our Economy) Awards luncheon. Muscutt's "Outstanding Community Awareness" award will be among other honors given to various members of the Shreveport-Bossier community tomorrow afternoon.
