2004-2005 CHL Guide & Record Book Now Available

The 2004-2005 edition of the Central Hockey League Guide and Record Book is now available, packed with information and statistics regarding the CHL and its 17 member teams. Designed by Studio 306 Design in conjunction with Stereo Printers, both out of Richmond, British Columbia, this season’s cover features Fort Worth Brahmas All-Star left winger Chad Woollard, San Angelo Saints netminder Scott Reid (the 2003/2004 CHL Most Outstanding Goaltender) and the Laredo Bucks, 2003-2004 Ray Miron President’s Cup Champions. CHL training camps are currently underway, with pre-season games running from Friday, October 15th through Tuesday, October 19th in preparation for the start of the regular season on October 22nd. Opening night 2004 will feature seven contests, including Odessa at Amarillo, Corpus Christi at Austin, Fort Worth at Bossier-Shreveport, Colorado at Oklahoma City, Laredo at San Angelo, Wichita at Topeka and New Mexico at Tulsa. Three other clubs (the Memphis RiverKings, Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees and Lubbock Cotton Kings) open the following night, with Memphis hosting Fort Worth, Rio Grande Valley visiting Austin and Lubbock playing in Amarillo. CHL season-opening rosters are due by 3:00 PM CST on Thursday, October 21st.

The Central Hockey League begins its 13th season of play this October, and once again led all North American professional “AA” leagues in average attendance during the 2003-2004 regular season, welcoming 4,501 fans per contest this past year.
