Monday featured three games in the CHL and several games in the NHL including a matinee game with the San Jose Sharks visiting the Phoenix Coyotes. In the game, two CHL alumni squared off with
Andrew Desjardins playing for the Sharks and
David Schlemko for the Coyotes.
Schlemko has spent the entire season on the Phoenix roster dressing in 25 games recording five helpers with a +1 plus/minus rating. The Edmonton native was a part of the Arizona Sundogs 2008 Presidents’ Cup Championship team where he played in 72 combined games (regular season/playoffs) scoring 13 goals with 34 assists. He has played 45 career NHL games (all with the Coyotes).
Desjardins played 64 games with the Laredo Bucks during the 2007-08 season earning placement on the CHL All-Rookie team. He scored 22 goals with 39 assists with the Bucks and made his NHL debut this season with the Sharks playing in three games.
Neither skater registered a point in Monday’s match-up won by the Sharks, 4-2.
