Two more 2004-2005 Ray Miron Presidents Cup Playoff berths have been secured, as the Southwest Divisions San Angelo Saints and Amarillo Gorillas have joined defending champions Laredo in the Southern Conference post-season tournament. With Colorado, Wichita and Bossier-Shreveport already set in the Northern Conference, 75% of the playoff field is set, with single entries in each conference yet to be determined.
The Saints punched their playoff ticket Saturday night with a 3-2 win in Fort Worth, while Amarillo clinched Sunday evening with a 4-3 (SO) win over Odessa. Amarillo (69 points), San Angelo (68) and Lubbock (63 points) could all still win the Southwest, the only division yet to crown a champion. Colorado (Northwest), Bossier-Shreveport (Northeast) and Laredo (Southeast) are division champions and will all enjoy home ice advantage in at least the Conference Semi-Finals.
