Nolan won both of his starts last week allowing just one goal in the 120 minutes he played. On Friday night, the all-star was locked up in one of the classic goaltender’s duals of the season with Quad City’s David Brown. In the end, a third period score from Ryan Jardine, aided by Nolan’s 34 saves, led to a 1-0 win by the Mavericks that clinched a berth in this season’s playoffs. The Sherwood Park, Alberta native followed Friday’s effort up with a 35-save performance in a 5-1 win at Quad City.
