Man of the Year Finalists Announced
TEMPE, AZ (March 15, 2011) – The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced on Tuesday the five finalists for the CHL Man of the Year award. Teams nominated one player from their clubs and provided support materials detailing that player’s role within the local community. Of those submissions, five finalists were selected with the winner to be announced on Tuesday, March 22.
The CHL Man of the Year award is ‘presented annually to the Central Hockey League player adjudged to have best exemplified strong leadership qualities on and off the ice, while making significant and noteworthy humanitarian contributions to his community’.
The five finalists for the 2011 CHL Man of the Year award are
Adam Hogg of the Colorado Eagles,
Liam Huculak of the Allen Americans,
Jeff Jakaitis of the Dayton Gems,
Zak McClellan of the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees and
Simon Watson of the Missouri Mavericks.
