The Laredo Bucks are two thirds of the way home in their quest to post back-to-back Ray Miron Presidents Cup Championships, wrapping up their Southern Conference Finals series with Amarillo Friday night with a 2-1 win. The victory and four game sweep of the Gorillas gives the Bucks, who await their opponent from the Northern Conference, some much needed rest. Jeff Bes (6th of the post-season) and Lou Dickenson, with the series winning goal, scored for Laredo, while Amarillos marker came from Phillipe Choiniere. Shawn Degagne was once again solid in the Gorillas net, making 31 saves, while Jeremy Symington handled 23 shots successfully for the Bucks. The Northern Conference Finals resume Monday in Colorado, with the Eagles and Thunder meeting in Game 5, currently deadlocked at 2 games each.
