The IceMen’s new look is a fresh, new logo that maintains the elements inherent to the franchise original logo design while at the same time gaining a more updated, modernized look and appearance.

Accompanying the newly-modified IceMen logo will be the team’s new colors and jerseys. Effective with the 2011-12 season, the IceMen team colors will become Navy, Sky and White with the organization opting for a combination of three different-colored jerseys for the campaign.

Additionally, the IceMen re-signed 2010-11 team MVP and all-star Brian Bicek.  The 25-year-old speedster led the team in goals with 27 and finished with 61 points.

Evansville also announced the signing of veteran defenseman Philippe Plante who played last season with the Odessa Jackalopes.  The 32-year-old will be playing in his 13th professional season and is coming off a year that saw him score 31 points (6-25=31) in 63 games in Odessa.

GM/Coach Kromm is delighted to add another defenseman, the IceMen’s fifth, in the person of Plante. “The signing of Phil further solidifies our strong backline. He brings us a lot of experience as he possesses a well-rounded game both offensively and defensively. Phil is outstanding on the power play and brings a much-valued winning tradition to our hockey club. He is a solid veteran guy, outstanding citizen and will be a real asset to our Evansville community.”
