Monday afternoon Mallards players and front staff members assisted in WQAD News Channel 8 and the Marine Corps Reserves with their Toys for Tots drive at their television station. Mallards Sean Flanagan, Jeremy Boyer, Jared Brown and Mickey Lang braved the cold weather to support the Quad Cities’ Toys for Tots Drive. The Mallards assisted the Marines in collecting toys from members of the community as they pulled up to drop-off their donation.
The Mallards staff and players are especially happy to help local causes at this special time of year.
“Being active in the community is a very important part of our organization. Any time we can involve players, staff, or our mascot in community events it is a positive thing,” said Mallards Community Relations Director Jenna Bieri. “It is especially exciting to partner with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves for such a great cause that spreads joy to children in our community this holiday season.”
