At opposite ends of the spectrum in age are 2-time CHL Most Valuable Player Don Parsons from the Memphis RiverKings (who turns 37 in January), and Tulsa left winger Shawn Futers, who celebrated his 20th birthday six days ago. Both the shortest (5-4) and lightest (150 pounds) player in the CHL is Austin netminder Matt Barnes, twice named the CHL’s Most Outstanding Goaltender. The tallest player in the CHL is Odessa forward/defenseman Jeff Ewasko at 6-7, while Fort Worth defenseman Konrad Brand and Oklahoma City rearguard Jason Goulet are the heaviest, tipping the scales at 245 pounds each. Of note, two of the three youngest teams in the CHL (Wichita and Lubbock) lead their respective divisions, while the youngest (Fort Worth) and oldest (Bossier-Shreveport) share the lead in the Northeast. Rio Grande Valley, the tallest team in the CHL, leads the Southeast.
