The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs have been awarded the 2007 Central Hockey League All-Star Game, announced Tuesday evening at the 2006 CHL All-Star Banquet at the Dodge Arena in Hidalgo, Texas, home of the host Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. Central Hockey League President Brad Treliving explained the selection, noting The Mudbugs organization submitted an outstanding proposal to serve as hosts for our 2007 All-Star Game, and we are confident they will do an outstanding job preparing for the event."
"With excellent ownership and front office personnel, a highly supportive fan base, a superb facility in the CenturyTel Center and the many entertainment options that Bossier City and Shreveport present, we are very pleased to be coming to Louisiana in 2007," said Treliving.
"It's a great day for the Mudbugs and especially for our community," said Mudbugs General Manager Jason Rent. "I'm thrilled for everyone that will be involved in the process and we plan on putting on a great show for the League and our great fans."
