The 2006-2007 Central Hockey League playoffs have another confirmed entry as the defending champion Laredo Bucks join the Colorado Eagles in post-season play. The Bucks did so from the comfort of their own homes Thursday evening, clinching when the Austin Ice Bats fell 1-0 to the Blazers in Oklahoma City.
Sean Connors made 22 saves to pick up his 13th win and second shutout of the season, allowing Garrett Prosofskys power play goal almost exactly half way through the contest to stand up. The Blazers remain in the Northern Conference #4 playoff seed position, two points up on the Youngstown SteelHounds, 5-4 shootout winners over visiting Memphis Thursday night.
