The Tulsa Oilers are on the board, becoming the last CHL club to earn a victory this season as Bryan LaChapelle and David Beauregard combined for seven points in a 5-2 home win over Bossier-Shreveport. Elsewhere Saturday night, the Memphis RiverKings doubled up Oklahoma city 6-3, Wichita edged Rocky Mountain 3-2, New Mexico slipped by Youngstown 3-2, Colorado nipped Arizona 5-4, Lubbock topped Rio Grande Valley 4-2, Amarillo squeaked by Corpus Christi 2-1 and Laredo outlasted Austin 6-5 in overtime.
Bossier-Shreveport 2 @ Tulsa 5
Bryan LaChapelle opened the scoring 4:49 in on a power play and later added three assists as the Oilers improve to 1-3-0 on the season. Tulsa converted three of a whopping 17 power play chances, with Mike Wiggins and David Beauregard also scoring with the man advantage. Bobby Davis added a shorthanded score for the Oilers, while Dan Wildfong and Mike Nason responded for the Mudbugs.
Memphis 6 @ Oklahoma City 3
Jason Sessa scored twice in a span of 2:24 to give the RiverKings a win in their first road game of the season. Jared Dumba potted his fifth of the season for the Blazers in a losing effort.
Rocky Mountain 2 @ Wichita 3
Jason Duda scored his second and third goals of the season and the Thunder defense held off a late Rage rally to improve to 4-1-0. Anders Strome picked up his fifth goal of the season for Rocky Mountain.
Youngstown 2 @ New Mexico 3
Three power play goals for the third straight game gave the Scorpions their second win of the season. Trailing 2-1 midway through the third, Konrad Reeder and Ryan McLeod scored power play goals 34 seconds apart to give New Mexico the lead. The SteelHounds were without the services of Captain Jeff Christian, serving the first game of a three game suspension handed down earlier in the day.
Arizona 4 @ Colorado 5
Craig Strain tucked home his first professional goal late in regulation play to give the Eagles a narrow victory in a wild contest that featured multiple lead changes and the ejection of Colorado Coach Chris Stewart. Brent Kelly continued his quality play for the now 4-2-0 Sundogs, scoring twice and adding an assist.
Rio Grande Valley 2 @ Lubbock 4
Craig Minard scored his first goal as a member of the Cotton Kings and chipped in a pair of assists as Lubbock improved to 3-2-0. Five of the games six goals came in the first period, and Lubbock outshot the Killer Bees 36-20.
Corpus Christi 1 @ Amarillo 2
Amarillos Rich Hansen continues to fill the net, providing all of the Gorillas offense Friday night with his seventh and eighth goals of the season. His power play marker midway through the third proved to be the game winner.
Laredo 6 @ Austin 5 (OT)
Bobby Chaumont exploded with his first multiple point outing of the season, scoring four points for the Bucks. Henry Kusters second goal of the contest gave Austin a 5-lead, but Chaumont set up Philippe Seguin for the equalizer with 1:20 to play then scored 2:56 into overtime with the man advantage.
