Lubbock left winger Anders Strome recorded the first hat-trick of the season for the Cotton Kings to help the club snap a six game road winless streak with a 6-4 victory in Arizona. Strome, acquired from the Rocky Mountain Rage on January 3rd in exchange for Trevor Weisgerber, scored once in each period and nearly had a fourth into an empty net for Lubbock. All-Star Simon Watson added his 16th and 17th of the season while Captain Bobby Brown recorded five assists. Brent Kelly posted his CHL leading 26th goal of the year and added a pair of assists for the Sundogs who lose their fourth straight despite a 50-21 shots on goal advantage.
