Consider Rocky Mountain center Dominick Noel a huge fan of the specialty jerseys depicting Rage mascot Rowdy snowboarding that the club wore Saturday. Wearing the funky uniform, Noel tied a CHL season high with four goals as the Rage set a franchise record for goals scored in an 8-4 home win over the Arizona Sundogs.
Noel finished the game with two power play goals and two even strength tallies, scoring on all four shots he took to double his season output to eight goals. In total Rocky Mountain finished with four special teams goals, with early third period shorthanded scores by Matic Kralj and Kyle Kos cementing the win.
Noels four goals in the game equals the four that injured Colorado star forward Greg Pankewicz recorded during a 5-2 home win on November 4th, also against the Sundogs.
Brent Kelly (CHL leading 29th goal of the year) and David Lizotte, with two goals in his second game with the club, paced Arizona. The teams meet again Sunday in one of eight scheduled CHL contests.
