Nearly 18,000 kids were happy to go to school Tuesday morning, as classes in Youngstown, Tulsa and Rio Grande Valley consisted of a field trip to CHL day contests. In Youngstown, 5,717 kids saw the steamrolling SteelHounds win their seventh straight contest with a 4-2 victory over Oklahoma City, who entered the game with seven straight wins of their own.
In Tulsa, the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs eked out a 2-1 win over the Oilers in front of 6,622 kids, while Rio Grande Valley easily handled visiting Austin 6-0 in front of 5,600 young fans at the Dodge Arena. Later this evening the Laredo Bucks, winners of nine straight, visit the Ector County Coliseum and the Odessa Jackalopes to wrap up Tuesday CHL action.
