Huge Crowd Watches Blazers Blowout Oilers
The OKC Blazers put on quite a show on Saturday night in front of 13,671 fans at the Ford Center as they defeated the Tulsa Oilers by a score of 8-1. The offensive explosion moves the Blazers to within two points of a playoff spot in the Northern Conference.
Ryan Watson and Garrett Prosofsky each scored four points with Watson contributing a hat trick in the third period. The Blazers led 3-0 after one period behind goals from Michale Kaye, Alex Lalonde and Prosofsky.
OKC led 4-1 after two period and then exploded for four goals in the third period securing the victory. Marty Satndish scored a pair of goals and Erick Lizon had three helpers.
Sean Connors made 32 saves earning the victory.
The lone bright spot for Tulsa was forward Jeff Christian assisting on the team’s only goal extending his point streak to 18 games.
