The Brahmas won their seventh straight game by shutting out the Gorillas in Amarillo. The win vaults Texas past Mississippi into the fifth and final Northern Conference playoff spot. Texas received goals from Anders Strome, Tyler Skworchinksi and Kevin Korol and defensively saw David Cacciola make 37 saves earning his first shutout of the season.
Oklahoma City 2 @ Youngstown 1 (OT)
It was a goaltending clinic put on by Sean Connors and Andy Franck but the Blazers Ryan Watson solved Franck twice including the game winner in overtime giving OKC back-to-back wins in Youngstown. Ryan Bennett scored the only Hounds goal.
Austin 1 @ Bossier-Shreveport 3
Ken Carroll made 24 saves improving to 16-4-1 on the season as the Mudbugs won their third straight game and improved their point lead in the chase for the Governors’ Cup (regular season champs) to seven points. Kevin Cooper and Elias Godoy had a goal and an assist each.
Colorado 6 @ New Mexico 0
The Eagles ended a five-game road losing streak in style on Sunday shutting out the Scorpions and dominating the game. Seth Leonard and Riley Nelson each scored twice and Sebastien Laplante had his best outing since joining the Eagles with 28 saves. It was the third straight loss for New Mexico.
Tulsa 2 @ Wichita 4
Mike Lukajic scored a pair of goals and Bill Zaniboni made 39 saves as the Thunder defeated the Oilers for the second straight night. Daniel Tetrault and Brad Thompson each had a goal and an assist for Wichita.
