Friday Night's Round-Up
The Mississippi RiverKings (19-11-0) closed the gap between themselves and the Northeast Division leading Oklahoma City Blazers (19-7-4) with a convincing 6-2 victory on Friday night at the DeSoto Civic Center. It was the first game of a home-and-home series between the two Northern Conference powers. With the win, the ‘Kings are just four points behind the Blazers.

Mississippi took advantage of special teams going 4 for 8 while stopping 11 of 12 OKC man advantages.
Matt Summers had a goal and three assists helped out by Jeff Nelson and Garrett Larson who each had a goal and two assists.
Kevin Beech made 20 saves improving to 14-8-0 on the season.
The same two teams travel to the Ford Center for the re-match on Saturday night.
