Brahmas and Jackalopes Keep Streaks Alive
The Texas Brahmas (29-10-4) and the Odessa Jackalopes (30-10-3) both continued their win streaks on Friday night with the Brahmas winning in overtime versus Mississippi and Odessa beating Corpus Christi in convincing fashion, 4-1.
The Jacks six-game win streak and the Brahmas five-game win streak are the two longest active streaks in the CHL.
Texas came back from two one-goal deficits to beat the RiverKings in front of a sellout crowd at the NYTEX Sports Centre. In overtime, it was a power play goal by Jason Deitsch that was the game winner.
Odessa went 3 for 10 on the power play and Sebastien Thinel scored his league-leading 28th goal of the season. Jeff Pierce had three assists.
