OAKLEY CHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK ANNOUNCED
Amarillo’s Mike Brown Earns Weekly Award
The Central Hockey League announced today that the recipient for the Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week for the period ending October 18th, 2009 is Mike Brown of the Amarillo Gorillas.
Brown wins the first goaltender of the week award this season after going 2-0 on the week with wins versus Wichita and Odessa. The Baldwinsville, New York native allowed just one goal on the week stopping 60 of 61 shots (.984). He earned his first shutout of the season on Friday making 18 saves in a 5-0 win over the Thunder. After opening weekend, Brown leads the CHL with two wins and 0.50 goals against average.
In recognition of his achievement, Brown will receive a special gift from Oakley.
