Bucks, Ruskowski Highlighted on ESPN 2
LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks, along with President/General Manager and Head Coach Terry Ruskowski were highlighted on ESPN Friday Night Fights last week. The event aired live worldwide on ESPN 2 from Laredo Energy Arena.
Ruskowski appeared in several segments on the ESPN broadcast with world-famous boxing analyst and trainer Teddy Atlas to compare boxing and hockey fights.
“I had so much fun with Teddy on the broadcast,” Ruskowski said. “The Bucks and the City of Laredo were shown in a very positive light and I’m very pleased with how it came out.”
Ruskowski and Atlas broke down the differences between hockey and boxing, as well as gave keys to victory for the matches that were featured on the broadcast.
Besides Ruskowski being a guest analyst on Friday’s program, the Bucks were featured prominently on the show with several shots of the teams two President’s Cup banners being shown on the air.
Ruskowski played in 999 career games in 15 seasons in the NHL and WHA scoring nearly 800 points and putting up over 2,000 penalty minutes.
Ruskowski begins the 2010-11 campaign with a 533-356-86 coaching record, including a 319-142-47 record in eight seasons in Laredo.
