The Bloomington PrairieThunder added to their lead in the Turner Conference thanks to a come-from-behind 5-4 win over the Mississippi RiverKings in the ‘Kings annual ‘Face-Off Field Trip’ game (featured a special 10:05 AM start time).

Chris Auger started the scoring with a shorthanded goal just three minutes into the game and later added the third goal of the opening period helping Mississippi to a 3-1 lead after 20 minutes.
Chris Richards also struck for the RiverKings.

In the second period, the PThunder came out fired up and took little time to cut into the lead as
Chris Cloud scored just 38 seconds into the middle frame.
Brodie Sheahan’s goal 11 minutes into the period tied the score and Bloomington took their first lead and capped off their three-goal second frame when
John Snowden scored his 11th goal of the season.
Richards would breathe life into the big crowd with his second goal of the game in the third period but the PThunder would answer back when
Ryan McLeod, playing in his third game since being claimed off waivers by Bloomington, scored his first goal with the PThunder. McLeod finished with a goal and an assist.
Marco Emond earned his league leading 18th win and extended his personal point streak to four straight games (3-0-1).
Larry Sterling took the loss making 26 saves.
Bloomington outshot Mississippi 31-23 in the game.
The PrairieThunder have now won three straight games and lead the Turner Conference by four points over four different squads (Colorado, Missouri, Quad City and Wichita).
Colorado and Wichita are in action later today.
