Laredo’s Jeff Bes Named Oakley CHL Player of the Week

Jeff Bes has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending February 6, 2011.

The Tillsonburg, Ontario native had multiple-point efforts in all three Laredo games last week and helped his team to a 2-1-0 record. Bes finished with three goals and four assists and accounted for the game winning goal in both of the Bucks wins. All three games were in Arizona on a three-game set against the Sundogs. On Tuesday, the 6-0, 190-pound forward had a goal and two assists in his team’s 5-3 win. On Wednesday, Bes scored two goals in Laredo’s 4-1 win and then in the final game of the week, the two-time CHL Most Valuable Player has a pair of assists in a one-goal loss.

Bes currently leads his team with a +22 plus/minus rating and is second on the team with 46 points (17-29=46). The veteran has seven goals and 12 assists in 2011.
