Hahn, Lemanowicz Earn Oakley CHL Week 19 Honors

All-Star center Derek Hahn of the Amarillo Gorillas has been selected as the Oakley CHL Player of the Week for Week 19 of the Central Hockey League season, while Memphis RiverKings’ netminder David Lemanowicz has been recognized as the Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week. Hahn registered nine total points in four games over the past seven days, while Lemanowicz sparkled in allowing just three total goals against in three Memphis victories over the past week.

Hahn helped Amarillo record five out of eight possible points this week, finishing with two goals and seven assists in four contests. His top performance came February 22nd, figuring in on all three Gorillas goals (scoring once and adding a pair of assists) in a 3-2 home win against Corpus Christi. Later in the week he registered an assist in a 5-3 loss in Laredo, scored and had two assists in a 5-4 shootout loss in Austin, and recorded two more assists in a 2-1 win at Rio Grande Valley. The two-time CHL All-Star was also recognized as Rookie of the Year in 2002-2003, finishing the season with 25 goals and 27 assists.

Lemanowicz was outstanding for Memphis in three consecutive home ice wins this week, allowing single goals against in victories over Wichita, San Angelo and Fort Worth. Lemanowicz stopped 109 of 112 total shots faced, good for a save percentage of 97.3 % for the week, while helping Memphis pick up six crucial points in the Northern Conference playoff race. In February, Lemanowicz won a total of eight games for the RiverKings while allowing a total of just 15 goals against in the victories.
