Now it’s a best-of-five series between the Rapid City Rush and Colorado Eagles for a berth in the Central Hockey League Ray Miron President’s Cup finals.
The Rush opened the best-of-seven Turner Conference finals with a strong defensive game on Friday night, topping the Eagles 3-1 at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center.
Rush goaltender Tim Boron stopped 23-of-24 shots to hand his former team the loss.
Colorado responded with a 4-3 win at the civic center Saturday night to send the leveled series to the Budweiser Event Center in Loveland, Colo., for Games 3 and 4 on Tuesday and Thursday.
