Independence, MO — Simon Watson can’t wait to lace up his skates and get back on the ice.
One of the original members of the Missouri Mavericks, the Central Hockey League’s 2010-11 Man of the Year is the team’s camp director for a series of upcoming camps that feature programs for kids, adults and even golfers and tennis players.
“It’s going to be a great summer of camps, and we can’t wait to get going,” Watson said. “I love working with the kids and the Mavericks have done it again by offering everything from development and fantasy camps to a camp that includes hockey, tennis and golf. I think that camp is going to appeal to a lot of kids.”
The Super FUNdamental Tri-Sport Camp will run from July 18-22 and will include daily sessions in three sports.
Watson, who played hockey and golf at St. Lawrence University, will run the golf portion of the camp Monday through Friday at Family Fun Park on U.S. 40.
