BLOOMINGTON — Aaron Dawson acknowledges that the start to the Bloomington Blaze’s season has been dire.
But, he insists, the 2-10-2 record has not been deadly.
“There is a ton of time,” the Blaze defenseman said. “I don’t think anyone in that room has booked a vacation for March 25. I don’t think anyone in that locker room believes we can’t make the playoffs.”
Dawson only needs last season as an example of his hope. Fort Wayne stumbled out the gate by losing 15 of the first 20 games but rallied to finish 31-27-8 and reach the playoffs where the Komets swept Bloomington in the first round.
