Rapid City’s Jesse Schultz Named Oakley CHL Player of the Week

Jesse Schultz has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending December 11, 2011.

The Regina, Saskatchewan native had a huge weekend for the Rush scoring seven points in Rapid City’s two home wins over the Arizona Sundogs. Despite his team going 2-1-0 on the week, the 6-0, 192-pound forward was a plus 2 in each game for the Rush. His recent point surge has pushed him to the lead league with 32 points (11-21=32).
CHL Scoring Leaders
Schultz weekend included scoring the game winning goal with a pair of assists in the Rush’s 4-2 win over the Sundogs on Friday night and then a two goal, two assist performance in his team’s 7-0 win over Arizona on Saturday night.
The Rush are 10-9-1 on the season and their back-to-back wins over Arizona ended a brief three-game slide.
