The Evansville IceMen have acquired the right to forward
Mike Vaskivuo as a part of a previous deal. The deal is the future considerations from the trade-deadline swap that saw
Damian Surma go to the Dayton gems in exchange for
Erik Boisvert and future considerations (Vaskivuo).
Vaskivuo, 25, has tallied 51 goals over the past two seasons with the Gems and was the team’s leading scorer with 60 points (26-34=60) during the 2010-11 season.
The former Merrimack College star scored 25 goals with 24 assists during his rookie season (2009-10) while the Gems were a member of the International Hockey League.
