Make it three straight wins for the Allen Americans (4-2-2) who topped the Laredo Bucks (3-5-0) on Friday night in the first of back-to-back games between the two clubs. The final score was 6-1 as the Americans sandwiched three goals in front of and behind the lone score for the Bucks.

The Americans struck early in the first and second periods as Jim McKenzie scored his fourth goal of the season at the 2:16 mark of the opening period and Nick Layton struck for his third of the year just 49 seconds into the second period.
On the evening, six different goal scorers for Allen fueled the offense with Brett Clouthier, Bruce Graham, Keith Johnson and Dylan King also scoring goals.
Matt Hanson scored the lone goal of the night for the Bucks.
Brian Mahoney-Wilson made 28 saves improving to 3-1-0 on the season while Torrie jung made 36 saves falling to 3-4-0 on the season.
Both teams failed to score on three power play chances.
