Someday Drystan Stone Thomas will pull out this story, show it to his father and say, ``See, Dad, I was always a good boy.''

Maybe that will help him get out of trouble sometime, but right now the newest member of the Komets family is helping his father play some pretty good hockey. Drystan was born Dec. 19 to Komets center Leo Thomas and his girlfriend Holly Ryan.

"He's been a good boy so far so I haven't been losing too much sleep,'' said Thomas, 30, a first-time father. "I would stay up just because he was a newborn and he'd make a noise and I wanted to be up. It wasn't him crying and keeping me up, it was me wanting to be up and holding him and looking at him. Since he was born, I've been scoring and getting points so it's been a blessing all around. It's the best feeling and the best thing that has ever happened to me.''
